These soldiers with their captain Raginis were real Spartans in September 1939. We can not forget them and others who fought abandoned by their allies. Glory to the brave Polish soldiers ... Never again war between Germany and Poland

RIP brave Poles and thankyou for helping save UK against nazis

@god4488 How's the song "completely inaccurate"? All it says is how they defended Poland and gave their lives for their country. It didn't mention stuck tanks for casualty numbers. And honestly, would the Nazis be forthcoming with how many they really lost against their first invasion? Hardly. They manipulated information freely through the war, and even dropped pamphlets telling the Polish soldiers the country was already taken when it wasn't. Regardless, three days were paid for with blood.

@xZaCloudx (continued) The above numbers were composed of the combined forces of the XIX Panzer Corps, 10th Panzer Division, and Lotzen Brigade, all in the very first attack phase, under command of General Heinz Guderian. The Germans, now in control of Poland, downplayed their losses and did not release official records so they would not look weak as they continued their conquest. But the defense in Wizna gave the rest of Poland three days to prepare and persevere. Truth is better than myth.
